What is SportSpeak, and how did it start?
We exist to bring you in-depth analysis and breaking news as fans and experts. We are on most social media platforms, have a weekly radio show coming soon, and podcasts can be found on YouTube (All social links are found at the top right corner of each page).
SportSpeak is the brainchild of Todd Boldizsar and HR Cole. Boldizsar is a graduate of the Cal State University – Fullerton with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and professional sports writing experience for Bleacher Report, the Orange County Register and MLB.com. Cole is a radio personality with his own Nationally Weekly Syndicated radio show known as “inDspotlight Radio” (also known as “inDspotlightFM”) featuring up-&-coming inDependent artists and can be found at http://www.facebook.com/inDspotlight & youtube.com/inDspotlight.
SportSpeak, LLC became an official entity in January of 2013 and now features daily news from a writing staff of 10, and is credentialed for all major sports.
What teams does SportSpeak cover?
The LA team covers all major sports teams located in Los Angeles county, which includes college sports, while the OC team covers all team located in Orange County, including college sports.
How can I get involved as a writer or a member of the production team?
Send an email to [email protected] and make sure to put the position of interest in the subject line, and any writing samples posted to the web should be linked to in the body of your email.
Are you hiring?
We are ALWAYS looking to bring in new writers and members of the video production/radio crew. We are also looking for freelance photographers to accompany our credentialed writers to select games and events throughout the year.
How do I contact a SportSpeak writer?
You may register for a fan account and begin commenting on articles with your opinions. Writers also have forum accounts and can respond to your questions and comments. Please keep in mind admins of the forums reserve the right to delete malicious comments at any time.
