In part one, the Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings were featured on the top five list.
Now it’s boiled down to two. And fittingly enough, it’s the battle for Los Angeles.
Will the “Forum Blue” and Gold prevail as the true colors of LA? Or has the Red, White and Blue of Clipper Nation taken over?
It was a very difficult decision. The choice between legacy and prestige and the new era.
Here are the final two.
The Lakers classic Forum Blue and Gold will always be a favorable color duo.
The home jerseys which are all gold with broad purple stripes down the side are an undeniable fan favorite and instantly recognized throughout the world.
Being the only team that doesn’t continually wear white jerseys at home, it makes their iconic uniforms even more special.
As for their road uniforms, the Lakers wear bold deep purple jerseys with gold siding. Purple uniforms seem as if they can only be pulled off by the Lakers (sorry Phoenix).
For their alternates, they have their stunning “Hollywood Nights” jerseys, which this year will feature all black sleeved jerseys with purple numbers outlined in gold with gold and purple siding.
It is a black jersey done right, unlike the monstrosity that Golden State produced in that hideous “Slate” color.
1.) Los Angeles Clippers
Who doesn’t love some Red, White and Blue?
I know for a fact Steve Ballmer does.
The Clippers hit home at number one in the Pacific Division uniform power rankings thanks to their four different colorful and distinctive jerseys.
First off, there’s the straightforward white home jersey, with the cursive “Clippers” script across the upper chest, along with the LAC logo just above that.
The side stripes and overall design give the jersey a somewhat refined look.
The main road uni is a striking red, and has “Los Angeles” over the chest instead of “Clippers”, giving it a varying look to the home jersey.
For the Clippers alternate outfit, it’s similar to the regular road jersey except is a dark blue (shown right), which seems to be the fan favorite.
For the last uniform, comes the baby blue sleeved alternate jerseys. Taking resemblance to their Buffalo Braves days, as well as their San Diego Bill Walton duds.
You would think that 6’10’’ guys running around in baby blue baseball-like uniforms would be quite a sight, but the Clippers definitely make it work.
Especially with the very creative flag pattern going down the shorts. Paying homage to the roots of the nickname.
